Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine
Vincent S. Alexander is a third-year medical student at the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine. He recently completed a clinical skills/simulation fellowship at the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he worked closely with the Clinical Department to enhance medical simulation practices and worked on optimizing learning modalities for clinical reasoning. During this fellowship, he co-developed a cost-effective simulation model for surgical aortic valve replacement using porcine models, which he presented at the Association for Program Directors in Surgery. He is also involved in research on partial heart transplantation with Dr. Konrad Rajab.
Beyond his academic pursuits, he is deeply committed to rural healthcare, volunteering regularly in underserved communities in rural Alabama, where he spends time volunteering with the EMS services in those areas. His passion for rural health and surgical innovation is reflected in his work, and he is excited to present his findings at the upcoming American College of Osteopathic Surgeons Annual Clinical Assembly.
Vincent is originally from Tampa, Florida. He enjoys strength training/CrossFit, playing rugby, rowing, and exploring outdoor activities in his free time.
