Corewell Health Farmington Hills
My name is Lieutenent Christian Przeslawski. I am an osteropathic general surgery resident at Corewell Health Farmington Hills. I graduated Michigan State University Lyman Briggs College in 2017 with a major in physiology and minoring in bioethics and Spanish. I was then accepted to Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine graduating in 2021. During my time there, I was accepted by the US Navy to receive the Health Professionals Scholarship Program and was formerly inducted in the Navy in 2017 as I always had a passion for providing care to those serving our country. I also took part in several internation trips and rotations while in medical school including to Guatemala, Peru and Malawi. I was then accepted to a rigorous training program at Corewell Farmington for general surgery training in 2021 which is a community hospital on the border of Detroit and surrounding suberbs. During my time there I devloped a further interest in minimally invasive surgery and would like to tie more preventative care medicine into the surgical world. I see no greater avenue than with regards to bariatric surgery to help decrease the health burden on individuals and the health care system in both the civilian and military world.
