My name is Zackary Sabetta, and I am currently pursuing a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree as a member of the Class of 2027 at A.T. Still University's College of Osteopathic Medicine (KCOM). My passion for medicine and dedication to the field are reflected in my active involvement in various leadership roles and extracurricular activities.
As the President of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons Medical Student Section (ACOSS MSS) KCOM chapter, I coordinate events, facilitate communication between students and professionals, and advocate for the interests of osteopathic surgery students. This role has allowed me to develop exceptional leadership and organizational skills.
I also serve as the Vice President of the Sub-Specialty Club, focusing on Thoracic Surgery. This position reflects my deep interest in this specialized field, where I organize educational sessions, connect students with thoracic surgery experts, and promote awareness about the latest advancements in the specialty.
In addition to my involvement in surgical clubs, I am the Vice President for the Doctors Without Borders KCOM chapter. My commitment to global health and humanitarian efforts drives my participation in initiatives that support medical care for underserved populations around the world.
Balancing my academic responsibilities with my leadership roles, I strive to exemplify the qualities of a well-rounded and dedicated medical student. My contributions to the medical community at KCOM and beyond highlight my commitment to excellence and my desire to make a meaningful impact in the field of medicine.
Upon graduation, I aim to continue my journey in thoracic surgery, where I hope to combine my clinical skills, leadership abilities, and passion for patient care to improve surgical outcomes and advance medical knowledge.
