Pradeesh Mathew George, DO, MBA, FACS, is the Trauma Medical Director at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy, Ohio, and a Staff Trauma Surgeon at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. He is a board-certified Trauma/Critical Care/Acute Care Surgeon with over 10 years of experience, bringing a unique blend of clinical acumen and business insights to his practice.
Dr. George earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Des Moines University-College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his General Surgery Residency at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio. He further specialized with a Surgical Critical Care Fellowship at the University of South Carolina/Palmetto Health. In 2023, he enhanced his expertise by obtaining an MBA from Indiana University-Kelley School of Business.
Throughout his career, Dr. George has demonstrated leadership in trauma care, program development, and quality improvement. He successfully obtained ACS Level III verification for Upper Valley Medical Center with excellent review and no deficiencies. His experience extends to military service, having deployed to Afghanistan as Chief of Surgery and Trauma with the US Army Medical Corps.
A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. George currently serves as Vice Chair for Ohio COT for Level 3 Trauma Centers and Rural Trauma. He has also been appointed to the Ohio State Board of Emergency Medical, Fire, and Transport Services. His areas of interest include EMS outreach and education, as well as the intersection of clinical practice and healthcare business strategies.
