Gregory Semon, DO FACS FACOS is an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, OH. He completed his general surgery residency at Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine/Grandview Hospital and his surgical critical care and acute care surgery fellowships at Orlando Regional Medical Center. His primary practice is at Miami Valley Hospital Level 1 Trauma Center in Dayton, where he serves as Director of the Surgical Intensive Care Unit, Director of the Injury Prevention Center of Greater Dayton, and Chair of Medical Staff Quality. His research interests include management of chest wall injuries, coagulopathy of trauma, traumatic brain injury, and injury prevention. He is active in national organizations including the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma, the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma, and the Chest Wall Injury Society.
