I am currently a fourth-year medical student at Avalon University School of Medicine, deeply passionate about surgery and committed to delivering exceptional patient care. My journey into medicine was heavily influenced by my uncle, a former U.S. Marine who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Assisting in his care during his final days solidified my desire to become a physician, not just focused on treating disease but also on caring for patients as whole individuals.
My clinical rotations have provided me with a wide range of experiences. I've participated in diverse surgical procedures such as emergent laparotomies, carotid endarterectomies, and orthopedic surgeries. I previously worked as an emergency physician scribe at Baptist Health in Lexington, Kentucky, where I was able learn from several different physicians that helped me developed a keen ability to document detailed and concise notes, which I’ve carried forward into my clinical rotations. I have participated in research that has led to several published works, including a case report on pancreatic pseudocysts and multiple presentations at symposiums. I’ve contributed to research on limb revascularization, chronic coagulation disorders and several on-going research projects.
As a former Academic All-American in college wrestling, I bring the same dedication and discipline that I developed through sports into my medical training. Outside of medicine, I enjoy staying active through weight-lifting, motorcycle riding, camping, hiking, off-roading, and mountain climbing. These hobbies help me maintain balance and bring a sense of adventure to both my personal and professional life.
