Dr. Alexander Drofa, MD, MBA, FRCSC, is a pioneering healthcare leader and one of the top cerebrovascular and endovascular surgeons with a distinguished international reputation. As the Chair of Surgery and director of cerebrovascular and endovascular neurosurgery at Sanford Health, Dr. Drofa has revolutionized surgical practice management through strategic innovations, significantly enhancing patient outcomes and operational efficiency. He is the visionary behind America's first Neurocardiology training program and the founder of one of the nation's top stroke programs, as well as a top 5% ranked robotic neurosurgery program. His leadership extends to the national stage as the Co-Chair of Mission LifeStroke, an initiative credited with development of stroke care in North Dakota, as well as parts of South Dakota and Minnesota.

Additionally, Dr. Drofa has been instrumental in establishing impactful healthcare initiatives through the Sanford World Clinic, expanding Sanford Health's influence globally, including significant projects in Ghana. With an MBA from the Carlson School of Management and advanced training in endovascular and cerebovascular neurosurgery from the Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Drofa combines clinical expertise with financial acumen, driving transformative change in healthcare delivery.
