Dr. Alexander Winkler-Schwartz, MD, PhD, is a Canadian board-certified neurosurgeon and current pediatric neurosurgery fellow at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. His research involves epidemiology, surgical education and artificial intelligence. He completed a PhD in the Integrated Program in Neuroscience at The Montreal Neurological Institute/McGill University using AI and virtual reality simulation to assess and improve technical proficiency in neurosurgery. After graduating neurosurgical residency at McGill University he then completed a Skull Base fellowship at the University of Utah with Dr. Couldwell followed by a Pediatric Neuro-oncology research fellowship with Dr. Thomas Blauwblomme at Necker Hospital in Paris, France.
