Dr. Smith has been a member of ACOS since 1992, he practiced 10 years as full time faculty at UNT-HSC after which he entered private practice specializing in Bariatric Surgery. Dr. Smith was one of the first DO's To speak at IFSO, International Bariatric Organization. He has proctored and observed many surgeons over the last two decades helping advance the field of Bariatric Surgery
