Biography for Libby Kosnik Infinger, MD, MPH
Dr. Infinger received her undergraduate degree from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia and her Master in Public Health from the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. She went onto receive her medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University in Rootstown, Ohio, and completed her Neurosurgery residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2014. Dr. Infinger returned to MUSC after completing her fellowship in Pediatric Neurosurgery at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. Her clinical interests include craniosynostosis and craniofacial surgery, spinal dysraphism, Chiari Malformation, spasticity, neuro-oncology, and resident education. She is involved in numerous professional organizations including the American Association of Neurological surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and Women in Neurosurgery.
Dr. Infinger is involved in many committees within her institution and is involved in hospital leadership. She is the Neurosurgery liaison to the Pediatric Trauma Program as well as the Surgical Quality Improvement Program. She has served as an elected member of the MUSC Faculty Senate and College of Medicine Faculty Council. She is now the Secretary of the Medical Executive Committee. She became the Neurological Surgery Residency Program Director in 2022 and has served on many Graduate Medical Education Committees since that time.
