J. Franklin Oaks, Jr., DO, MHA, FACOS is a staff Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon at Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He graduated from Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciencecs in 1994. He completed a traditional, roating intership at Doctors Hospital in Columbus Ohio. The first two years of his general surgery residency were completed at Doctors Hosspital and the final two years and his graduation from general surgery residency were completed at the Cleveland Clinic - South Pointe Hospital in Warrensville Heights, Ohio. Dr. Oaks completed his general vascular surgery fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic - South Pointe Hospital as well. He was board certified by the AOBS in September of 2001. He was director of the intervention vascular lab and vascular ultrasound lab at Blanchard Valley Regional Medical Center in Findlay OH for 2 years when he took a staff position at Lima Memorial Hospital in Lima, Ohio. In 2012 Dr. Oaks received his Master in Healthcare Administration forom the University of Ohio in Athens, Ohio. From 2012 -2016 he served as the Cheif of Vascular Surgery at Lima memorial Hospital. In 2016, Dr Oaks accepted a position at University of Pennsylvania Medical Center as a staff Vascular Surgeon in Williamsport, Pennssylvaina and practiced there until accepting a new position at Oklahoma heart Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK. He is married with six grown childen and 5 grandchildren.

He has served the ACOS in membership since 1996, served on the executive committee of the Cariothoracic and Vasclar Surgery discipline, including Chair and currently serves on the ACOS Board of Governors for the CTV diiscpline.
